Petit Verdot is one of Bordeax's classic black grape varieties. With thick skins, this wine is rich is colour and is capable of yielding concentrated rich wines. A dark, luscious colour with deep purple hues, this wine displays a bouquet of violets, plums and spicy oak. On the palate, there is evidence of blood plums, backed up by nicely balanced oak. This wine is big and chewy and can be cellared for 5-8 years, although Huon Hooke recommends drinking in 2014.
