Peter Michael Chardonnay Knights Valley la Carrière 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

90-93 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): The 2010 Chardonnay La Carriere is a beautifully taut, focused wine laced with lemon, spices and mint. It possesses excellent energy and cut through to the finish. The Carriere shows plenty of focus, but it also has an element of heaviness that is typical of the Chardonnays here in 2010. It will be interesting to see how the wine develops over the coming year. This is Peter Michael's steepest vineyard. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2020. (Feb 2012)

Two, the wines would be elegant rather than overstated. Three, there would be a hundred-year commitment to the development of a great estate. Read less
