Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Noice.

Winemaker's Notes:

French for "The Quarry", the name of this Chardonnay aptly describes the vineyard's rocky soils.

Tasting Notes:

A terroir-driven minerality remains the signature of this vineyard, with aromas of crushed stone, lily, hazelnut and sweet pear. Touch¬es of mandarin orange and sweet vanilla complete the elegant bou¬quet. Notes of citrus oils, white peaches and lemon highlight the minerality. Rich and intense, 2005 La Carriere presents wonderful concentration and elegance on the palate. It's bright acidity and minerality will allow it to age well over the next 10 years, much like its Burgundian cousin from Puligny-Montrachet.
