Winemaker's Notes:

Wines do not arise by themselves; they are created by a conjuncture of vines, countryside, climate and the labour of men. Nowadays the idea is predominant, that everything is possible with the help of technology. This opinion is not shared by us, the vintners of the Saar region. Our beautiful countryside offers different soils to the vines in which they can flourish. They need a long vegetation period due to our relatively northern location, and they therefore have a lot of time in their maturing phase to develop a differentiated aroma. This is of unequal value especially for our elegant Spätburgunder and Riesling grapes. The experience has been enriched over generations and enables us to labour towards the best for our wines with respect for our landscape, scenery and in harmony with nature.
