Peter Lehmann Shiraz Weighbridge 2008
This wine honours the unique role of “The Weighbridge” as the meeting place for vignerons at Peter Lehmann Wines. It is made from grapes selected from South Australian Riverland and Barossa Vineyards. Peter Lehmann winemakers have identified Shiraz vineyards which will only give grapes of the high quality they seek. Working closely with selected growers, yields are monitored and harvest only occurs when the grapes are at optimum maturity. The wine is bright deep red in colour with a purple rim. There are lovely aromas of plum fruit with leafy notes and a beautifully soft, fruit driven palate showing typical Shiraz richness reined in by the soft, textured finish. This fresh full-fruited wine is a delicious partner for pasta and cheese dishes and perfect with chicken.
Peter Lehmann Wines is one of Australia’s most respected and innovative winemakers, creating wines that delight wine lovers around the globe. Winemaking operations are carried out at a single site located near Tanunda, in the heart of the internationally famous Barossa Valley, South Australia.
