Peter Lehmann Shiraz Barossa Valley Eight Songs 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Spectator Review Rated 90 Matured 18 months in French oak, this rich, velvety-textured Shiraz shows plenty of vanilla influence as a result. But theres also plenty of ripe blackberry fruit, and the overall impression is of a lush, fruity wine that would make a lovely steakhouse red.

Langer Abgang. Ausbau 18 Monate in französischen Barriques.

On the tart side, with firm tannins and blackberry flavors that linger nicely on the chewy finish. Best after 2007. 50,000 cases made.

"Shiraz is scented of black cherry and crushed blackberries with hints of licorice and tar. High acidity plus a medium level of fine tannins structure the full bodied palate
