Add your review87 points. I don't know how wine spectator came up with 91 but this could be a bottle variation . This bottle was screw capped so it must be later filling. The nose was fine the overall structure very balance with the exception of a strong fruit acid that spoils it for me.
Very good wine, just ever so slightly more acidic than I would have liked.
deep red/black color. violets, black cherries, tabacco, chocolate, a little spicy and cedar notes. strong tannis. Inconsistency between bottles (screw caps)
This is available for 11.95 at costco. Opens well with chocolate even toffee sweetness from with mid chewiness and a really deep long tart to dry vanilla finish. Pleasure in a bottle, not orgasmic but great with virtually any food. We bind tested some friends who picked it as French Cote due Rhone Blend or Bordeaux (?). Encore requested with gorgonzola and ripe french brie. Rate 89-90/100

Deep in colour our Shiraz is rich and generous, with intense flavours of plum and chocolate, and fruit that has been mellowed by 12 months oak maturation. Enjoy with a beef scotch fillet, pan fried pork chops or crisp roast duck. - Winery
On the tart side, with firm tannins and blackberry flavors that linger nicely on the chewy finish. Best after 2007. 50,000 cases made.

Winemaker's Notes:
A wine of great depth of colour reflecting the splendid 2009 red wine vintage. The bouquet has tantalising aromas of dark plums and black fruits with just a hint of oak in the background. It is a seamless wine with an excellent structure, its rich fruit reined in by firm tannins. A beautiful expression of Barossa Shiraz, it will continue to develop in the bottle for five plus years. This wine is a perfect accompaniment with steak, roast beef or lamb and excellent with pizza and meat based pasta dishes. It is delightful with aged cheddar or pecorino cheeses.
