Peter Lehmann Riesling Eden Valley 2007
Most winemakers we know would nominate Riesling as their white wine of choice. Peter Lehmann in fact has often declared on many occasions that Riesling would be his white of choice if he found himself cast away on the proverbial dessert island! Sourced from selected vineyards in the Barossa and Eden Valleys, the Riesling fruit for this wine was crushed, chilled and immediately separated from the skins to maintain purity and delicacy. Fermentation was in 100% stainless steel. The resulting wine is very delicate with green tints in colour with spicy fruit and delicate floral aromas. It is a very tightly structured wine with good depth of fruit and a refreshingly clean, crisp finish. It is perfect with freshly shucked oysters, fresh crab, tempura battered fish and Thai style crispy chicken.
Peter Lehmann Wines is one of Australia’s most respected and innovative winemakers, creating wines that delight wine lovers around the globe. Winemaking operations are carried out at a single site located near Tanunda, in the heart of the internationally famous Barossa Valley, South Australia.
