- Peter Lehmann has created another gem in the 1999 Mentor. Starting right out of the bottle it has a complex and sophisticated nose with little room for doubt about the body and potency of this wine. Tastes and smells of exciting fruits, including berries and stone fruits along with an ending of pepper and mineral. This wine is very long on the tongue and aside from a mildly chalky sensation toward the end, its longevity is appreciate. All-in-all a well built wine that should be enjoy liberally.
