Peter Lehmann’s winemaking approach treats every wine as a piece of art. A 5th generation Barossan, Peter Lehmann was the son of a Pastor and was born in Angaston in 1930. He started wine-making in 1947 under the mentorship of the great Rudi Kronberger, moving on after thirteen years to become manager and wine producer at Saltram Wines. His own estate was founded in 1979, to support the Barossa growers facing financial ruin due to overproduction, and he soon became acknowledged as a producer of premium quality wines gaining an international reputation and following.
