Peter Lehmann Cabernet Sauvignon Barossa Valley Mentor 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon has been recognised all over the world as one of Australia’s great Cabernet Sauvignon styles. The 1993 Lehmann Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded the trophy for Best Cabernet in the World at the International Wine and Spirit Competition. Respected American wine critic Robert Parker Jnr is also an admirer and stated in the October 2002 edition of Wine Advocate that Peter Lehmann Cabernet is “One of the world’s finest Cabernet Sauvignon values...” Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the Barossa produces beautifully structured wines noted for their longevity and the handsome reward they give to those who choose to cellar these wines. This fine example has a deep black centre with a dark red rim. The nose holds soft aromas of violets, black currants and chocolate notes. The palate reveals a softly textured Cabernet with good fruit flavours beautifully balanced by the fine-grained tannins and the subtle undertones of fully integrated oak. It is a seamless wine and a delight to sip. This Cabernet is a wonderful accompaniment to richer red meat dishes and is particularly good with duck.

Weingut: Peter LehmannRegion: Barossa ValleyRebsorte: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, MalbecInhalt: 0,75 lAlkoholgehalt: 14 Vol.%Säuregehalt: 6,1 g/lRestsüße: 1,5 g/lLagerfähigkeit: 7 - 10 Jahre ab Jahrgang Fassreife: in Barriques gereift (15 Monate)Empfohlene Serviertemperatur: 18°CAuszeichnungen:Mundus Vini Silber96 points - James Halliday 2010 Wine Companion Rotwein > Australien > Barossa Valley
