Source: Great Wines Direct

Wines in the Peter Lehmann Weighbridge range are typically noted for their fresh berry fruit, great structure, superb varietal definition, and approachability. As a 5th generation Barossan, Peter Lehmann was the son of a Pastor and was born in Angaston in 1930. He started wine-making in 1947 under the mentorship of the great Rudi Kronberger, moving on after thirteen years to become manager and wine producer at Saltram Wines. His own estate was founded in 1979, to support the Barossa growers facing financial ruin due to overproduction, and he soon became acknowledged as a producer of premium quality wines gaining an international reputation and following. James Halliday, the eminent wine writer said "It's not often a person becomes a legend in their own lifetime" Grapes : 70% Cabernet, 30% Merlot Region : Australia / Barossa Maker : Andrew Wigan Notes : Beautiful black cherry in colour, giving a delightful, fresh nose of blackcurrants with a soft hint of violets. Great depth of fresh fruit on the middle palate, finishing with firm, yet gentle tannins. A well structured, seemless wine . Serve : The ideal partner for meat and/or cheese based pasta dishes, lamb, roast chicken or a smooth, cheddar cheese. ABV : 14.50%

Klares, dunkles Kirschrot. Feines Bouquet nach Veilchen. Im Gaumen von mittlerem Körper, mit weichen Noten, sehr angenehm.
