Peter Lehmann’s winemaking approach treats every wine as a piece of art. A 5th generation Barossan, Peter Lehmann was the son of a Pastor and was born in Angaston in 1930. He started wine-making in 1947 under the mentorship of the great Rudi Kronberger, moving on after thirteen years to become manager and wine producer at Saltram Wines. His own estate was founded in 1979, to support the Barossa growers facing financial ruin due to overproduction, and he soon became acknowledged as a producer of premium quality wines gaining an international reputation and following. James Halliday, the eminent wine writer said "It's not often a person becomes a legend in their own lifetime" Grapes : 100% Semillon Region : Australia / Barossa Maker : Andrew Wigan Notes : An attractive Green and Gold hue with delightfully fresh citrus notes with a touch of wild honey. The palate is refreshingly soft with a clean, fruit driven finish. Serve : Serve lightly chilled. A superb aperitif and an ideal accompaniment to pan seared scallops, pan fried white fish or roast chicken. ABV : 11.00%

With the inaugural 2010 vintage release of our Semillon Blanc we have added a touch of cool-climate Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc to add extra appealing fruit lift to our traditional Semillon.
