Petaluma Riesling Clare Valley Hanlin Hill 2008
Wine Tasting Notes The Hanlin Hill Riesling is a delicate, floral wine displaying typical minerality and lemon lime intensity, and will develop into a classic vintage. Passionfruit, pear and apple aromas and flavors are backed up by lovely intense lemon-lime with a slatey, mineral dry finish, typical of the Hanlin Hill Vineyard.
Petaluma was founded by Brian Croser in 1976. The Petaluma wine making team's ncompromising approach to each aspect of viticulture and winemaking, along with their focus on Petaluma's vision is as powerful today as it was over a quarter of a century ago.

The Petaluma Riesling Hanlin Hill 2008 wine is chock full of gorgeous lime and lemon aromas with a hint of acacia and pear. The palate is best described as 'stony' such is the mouth feel and texture. The fruit generous, the acidity played to perfection, the finish is long and pulling all the strings of quality together and to perfection. The balance makes it very approachable even after a few weeks in the bottle. A long, chalky, balanced and stylish young riesling whose piercing fragrance of lime juice, lemon rind and white flowers reveals undertones of minerals and chalk. Its round, generous and juicy, with a luscious expression of concentrated fruit tightly woven around a fine, powdery spine of baby powder-like texture. Set for the long term.
