Perrin Fils & Côtes du Rhône-Villages Vinsobres les Hauts de Julien 2007
Opaque plum, aromas of stewed black fruit and smoke, driven by balanced acid, there are silky flavors of black cherry, black plum and cranberry with a hint of cola to a satisfying, lengthy finish framed with silky tannins.
My Rating 88: Interstin Villages wine fom a good year long light nose with complex aromas. I will not go nuts here and describe some weird smells that no one can relate too! But it smells nice. Body is dry with good acid not a hint of sweetness, typical french workmanship. I guess $ 10 at Costco is a fair price
Marks & Spencer own brand, and really surprisingly good for the price. Starts out seeming to lack acid, but opens up nicely to savoury flavours and a lot of berry fruit, balanced nicely by a typically Rhône-ish steeliness.
juicy with sweetness balanced by acidity. hint of rubber/tires
