Inky ruby. Ripe blackcurrant and blackberry aromas lifted by a hint of cracked pepper. Full and rich but with firm tannins giving a serious edge to the sweet dark fruit and licorice flavors. Finishes solid, chewy and quite long. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar Barrel Sample: 88-91 Points
