Food Pairings for Perrin Cotes du Rhone
I liked, it's a good drier wine
Delicious, friendly-- a great choice for a house red, and hard to imagine that anyone would not like it. Nice for solo drinking or even an aperitif, and a nice gentle food wine. A bit of black pepper, less tannic than some budget Rhones. At $10 from Costco, a real bargain-- worth picking up a case, for higher-grade everyday drinking.
My Rating 87. Nice well balanced cotes with a medium nose and full body with plenty of aromas
About to sit down with a friend and talk about opening a wine bar. The one thing this town needs. The color is perfect dark down the middle with a lighter shade on the sides. Can still see the stem through it. The nose has a bit of plum on it but I want to say some cranberry as well. Call me crazy. Medium on the weight. Definitely cherry in the mouth a nice crisp acidity to it. Very well balanced on the finish as the meld together.
good inexpensive everyday wine dark, plums, cherries
Medium Red Ruby color. Nose of black currant, bacon, earth and tar. With time notes of black pepper become much more evident. Very crisp and streamlined on the palette with Raspberry fruit, minerals and a bit of green vegetable. Finish is medium length and refreshing. Nice acid structure and great with food.
Dark red, almost purple in color with a nose of raspberry and plum followed by moist earth, fresh baked bread and a hint of manure. The palate was rich and full with dark fruit, raisin, sweet tobacco, pepper and sweet black licorice on the long fruity finish. Nice balanced acidity. A great bottle of wine and super QPR. I must say, something has happened to this wine since my last experience. I don't know if I should attribute it to bottle variation or just the meal it was paired with (Penne alla Vodka) but this bottle was really outstanding tonight.

"Composed of two-thirds Grenache and the rest equal parts Syrah and Mourvedre
The 2007 Perrin & Fils Gigondas La Gille a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah exhibits an outstanding combination of both red and black fruits with pronounced minerality saddle leather garrigue and meaty notes coming through with air. Very Provengal and with loads of charm this medium to full bodied beautifully balanced wine should drink superbly over the coming decade. Shows lots of class on the finish. Rhone Report The.
