Perrin & Fils Rasteau l'Andeol Cotes du Rhone Villages 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Advocate Review
Rated 86-89
The Perrin 2011 Rasteau l-Andeol displays the tell-tale full-bodied, rustic power of sun-baked Grenache from this warm hillside appellation. It also has the rather chocolaty, berry component that Grenache seems to routinely possess from Rasteau. It is a big wine, and not for those looking for more delicately styled southern Rhones, but this is mouth-coating, rich, and big.

Wine Tasting Notes
A deep red color. The nose is typical of ripe grenache, with aromas of roasted fruit, vanilla and pepper. The mouth is full-bodied and suave in texture. The flavors are reminiscent of black fruit and cocoa, and the finish is intense. 80% Grenache, 20% Syrah.
