Food Pairings for Perrin & Fils les Christins
75% Grenhache + 25% Syrah. Pairs with meat, pasta with tomato sauce and vegeterian risotos. WS=91 A gorgeous nose of dark fruit confiture and spice cake flavors is followed by a powerful palate of dark fruit, smoke, tar and minerals. Richly layered and densely structured, but with an elegant side as well. Best from 2006 through 2009.
Clearly a wine from a warm place, with its amber hues and richness of texture. The nose is reminiscent of morello cherries, flowers and liquorice. On the palate it shows an unctuous texture and is rich and concentrated.
