Cassis and black currant play off oak, peppercorn and green bell pepper in this spicy wine that also exhibits soft tannins and a long intense, yet smooth finish. Pair with hearty stews, chili or a good NY strip steak with sauteed onions and wild mushrooms. The spice in this wine need a beef dish to expose its fruit flavors.

Amazing wine, amazing value... hard to describe... some residual sugar that gives the PLENTY of fruit and power more 'interest' - you can notice the winemaking at its best... I want to see the fruit from the same vines in 30 years and taste that wine... a great expressino of terrior and winemaking... 94/100

Maipo Alto Valley, ChilePerez Cruz Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva is a beautiful Chilean red wine gem from Vina Perez Cruz. Perez Cruz is a family-owned winery specializing in red wines, all produced and bottled at Fundo Liguai de Huelquen. The beautiful state-of-the-art winery sits among 250 hectares of vineyards surrounded by the foothills of the Andes in the Maipo Valley, 45km southeast of Santiago. Perez Cruz Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 3% Syrah and 1% Cot (Malbec.) It is full-bodied with notes of ripe red fruits, black pepper, vanilla, dried fruit and a classic touch of herbal aromas including tarragon and laurel. On the palate it is creamy and concentrated with silky, rounded tannins. This wine is beautifully balanced to drink now and over the next 6-8 years. The finish is long and smooth.Enjoy Perez Cruz Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva with grilled flank steak, BBQ ribs, empanadas and sharp cheeses.
