Great aromatics, crushed berry red currant, spice sandlewood. Nice inner mouth perfume, fingered and litte back fruits ripe tannins good acids nice balance, bit tense, dries a bit on the finish.

Add your reviewThis particular wine from Peregrine is called Saddleback- Central Otago NZ Garnet/ruby red hue Violet and cherry, pensil shavings, leather(?) Cherry, mushroom(?),earthy lots of length with fruity yet acidic finish. I think with a bit more age this wine will become more elegant.
Purchased off the list at landmarc and consumed over 2 nights. For me, this is Bourgogne from New Zealand, plain and simple- nice cherry fruit, balanced with decent length and some earthiness. very enjoyable for its level, but at $30 retail it should be more than that.
