Pepperwood Grove Viognier California 2008

Member Review by golfer55:

This wine is foul! It tasted like burnt turpentine and smelled worse. I'm in the wine business and have had many viogniers and this was by fay the worst. I dumped it.

Fragrant and fat, with lush melon, apricot, mineral and cream flavors, picking up lemony vanilla tones in the finish. Really excellent value. Drink now.

An intensely floral bouquet, also offering pears and apricots and a flavor that is rich, lush, full and mouth filling.

An exotic sensory experience: honeysuckle, fresh pears, and a hint of peach - what's not to like? This wine is very rare in this price range. Try it with milder Asian dishes and mild cheeses.

Wine Tasting NotesMedium straw with peach, clove and custard aromas. Tropical flavors profile of pineapple, mango and passion fruit. The lively acidity and smooth finish make it the "go to" wine for summertime. Great as an aperitif, this wine also complements a wide range of foods including prociuitto and melon, Thai green papaya salads and more hearty pastas like Carbonara.

Easy-drinking, with apricot and peach accented by vibrant lemon-lime flavors. Pretty spice tones linger in the finish. Drink now.

What a pleasant wine. Fresh and vibrant, with mouth-cleansing acidity backing up ripe flavors of apples, peaches, nectarines and vanilla honey. Just floods the palate with juicy flavor.

Fragrant and juicy, with lots of character. Tropical notes of mango, papaya and kiwifruit are refreshing. Drink now.
