Pepperwood Grove Pinot Noir Valle Central 2004

Member Review by dbhonig:

Very light translucent ruby red. Strawberries, pepper and sage nose. Strawberries, black cherry and white pepper palate, but tannic and mouth-drying. Short finish, sharp aftertaste. Not very good, but practically free. Buy a case for weekends the in-laws are in town and don't tell them it sucks.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
