Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

User Reviews for Pepperwood Grove Pinot Grigio Venezie IGT

Winemaker's Notes:

Light jasmine and lemon zest aromas are bright and floral, with layers of citrus. The flavor profile showcases a fresh burst of mouth-watering citrus zing with delicate lemon-lime. The mouthfeel is light and fruit-forward overall, but with a touch of silky body in the mid-palate. It has perfect balance, from the faintest hint of initial sweetness to the crisp, dry finish. Picked early in the season—entirely in August of 2009—our winemaking team has kept this wine naturally low in alcohol and amplified its sunny, uplifting acidity. Loon Pinot Grigio makes an excellent aperitif. For food pairings, try it with light summer salads, or with steamed mussels in a white wine broth.
