Dark ruby in color with aromas of raspberries, crème brulee, and a hint of chocolate and oregano. This Merlot has flavors of strawberry rhubarb pie, plums, green olives with pimentos, and cinnamon finishing with dried apricots, mild green tea, and toasty American oak. Once again, we like this wine to be a great party wine. It tastes good with or without food. Enjoy at the park with some jack cheese, sliced apples, and a baguette. Have this with your favorite pizza after a long day at the office. I would serve this with a ratatouille of eggplant, zucchini, and peppers with grilled chicken over creamy polenta for a festive and satisfying dinner.

Currant, raisin, violet and blackberry flavors are intense in the good-value Merlot, which finishes with solid tannins and nicely integrated tones of mocha and coffee that linger. Drink now through 2005.
