User Reviews for Pepper Bridge Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla Valley
Add your reviewExcellent. Great with a medium well cheeseburger. I get a heavy delicious dose of Dr. Brown's Black Cherry Soda but chocolate dipped. This wine is decadent without too much oak. Ready to drink now with decanting or can hold for a few years.
This 2006 Pepper Bridge Cabernet is one of the best Cab's I have had in a long time, and especially for under $40.00 in fact I paid less then $30.00 each! It definitely needs to be decanted, much sediment found in the 4 bottles I've laid down in my controlled temperature cellar for a short time. When first opened: Color; Dark Rich Ruby vibrancy, absolutely beautiful; A nice floral nose of Black Cheries with quick passing of honeysuckle. On the pallet, a swirl of Berries/Dark Black Cheries/ with a hint of Chocolate, encaptured in a very delicate white pepper and clean ocean mist, followed by a smooth swallowing texture. After decanting and allowed to open up an hour or so, all were present above mentioned, but better. For it was now even smoother as it was to be expected. My only mistake was not to buy more at the time and let them cellar for a few more years. This 2006 is very drinkable now, for sure, excellent, for the proof was in that I drank all mine without waiting, but the regret was to be a little more patient, as I will be on my next purchase of the same.... Salute
