Pentage Wines Gewürztraminer 2011

Member Review by JenniferT:

An interesting pale bright straw colour. Nose is really interesting: apple and floral perfume with honey and yeast/toasted bread...we thought it smelled remarkably like honeycomb crisp cereal! Tastes of ripe crisp apple and underripe tart peach with some bitter almond notes. The acidity carries through with a longer finish. A delightful and refreshing wine, especially on a warm evening.

Paul had a great desire for land and space, when we happened to stumble upon 4400 Lakeside Road - "it had everything right...wrong with it" said Paul. With his vision and immense passion.....the dream started to unfold. As a marine engineer, Paul was away from home a third of every year, in 1995 he decided he wanted to build a home and a business that would allow us to work as a team. Paul's greatest passion was the making of wine -- the challenge and love for wine along with the perfect property - made this dream a reality. Julie, with business and administration background, runs the business side of things along with overseeing the vineyard. Working as a team, we are we are both involved in every aspect of our business. Read less
