Penner-Ash Wine Cellars Pinot Noir 2009
A stunning blend of some of the finest vineyards in all of Oregon. For Pinot fans this particular vintage consists of stellar sources that should ring a bell: Shea Dussin Wonderlea Ana and Revana to name just a few. Red raspberry baking spice and sweet dried fruit aromas compliment a vibrant palate of red cherry chocolate and cinnamon. A purity of red fruit combined with a lush texture and refined tannins compliment a nuanced finish of strawberry and vanilla.
Lynn started Penner-Ash Wine Cellars with husband Ron in 1998, carefully crafting small amounts of Pinot noir and Syrah, while she was still at Rex Hill. Their early success with the label caused them to dream of what they could create and in 2001 they began building the Penner-Ash brand full time. Penner-Ash has achieved impressive growth, going from 125 cases of Pinot noir in 1998 to a projected 8,000 cases of Pinot noir and Syrah in 2007.
