Hot nose with lots of ripe jammy fruit, a little bit spicy. The mouth has a nice earthy attack, with is smooth and mouth-watering in the middle. The finish is dry and brings out some red pepper. Big, bold, and spicy. Could have mistaken you for a Shiraz buddy.
A slightly hot nose with lots of fruit and a tad bit sweet on the palate. A bit too tannic on the finish for my taste.
tea leaf green and a bit young. bordeaux/chinon like in it's vegetali. I am now making up words because I have already used up all of my negative ones in past reviews and I'm trying to be original. smells better than it tastes although the steak I ate it with was terrific, i could barely taste this. may do well from aging but i will never know.
rich and deep with a bit of spice and a distinct cherry essence.
This is a very solid cab. Very deep red with a touch of amber at the edges. Heavy vanilla on the nose followed by a touch of amaretto, caramel, and crème brulee. On the palate there is an abundance of red cherry followed by notes of butterscotch and almond. Overall this is a very nice cab for the money. My wife chose a good bottle.

Juicy blackberry, cherry, tobacco and tar flavors wrap tightly around the focused core of this firm red, lingering on the finish. Best from 2010 through 2014.
Deep ruby. Powerful aromas of crushed blackcurrant, rose, pepper and herbs. Lush and sappy yet delicate, with red and black fruit and spice flavors energized by tangy minerality. Nothing thick or heavy about this wine. Finishes with enticing lift and very good persistence. This carries its 15% alcohol gracefully.
The colour is bright crimson with hints of dark purple due to its oak maturation and specific handling techniques. The fragrant aroma consists of ripe and rich fruit with complex spice and strong varietal character typical of the 2006 Coonawarra vintage. The aromas are of blackberry and cassis. Distinct blackberry/ blackcurrant (Cassis) flavours, characteristic of a good Coonawarra cabernet sauvignon. The flavour is of young ripe fruits with silky grape tannin and elegant complex cedar oak ,so typical of the Penley Style. A wine that is closer to full bodied with more grape and oak tannins but that still maintains beautiful balance.
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar ReviewRuby-red. Peppery redcurrant- and cherry-scented nose, complicated by notes of tobacco, gunflint and musky underbrush. Red fruit flavors are energized by zesty minerals and nicely framed by fine-grained tannins. Bright, linear and fresh on the impressively long finish.
