Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

(a 75/25 blend): Ruby-red. Smoke- and spice accented aromas of cassis, cherry and licorice, with a hint of black pepper in the background. Gently sweet dark berry flavors are brightened by a spicy nuance and pick up tanginess with air. Clings nicely on the finish, which features slightly rigid tannins and a subtle floral pastille quality. Firm in texture, with a crisp feel to the modest blackberry and tobacco flavors. Drink now. 180,000 cases imported. -HS Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet is very much a reflection of the Penfolds winemaking style and philosophy. Sourced from premium vineyards across South Australia, the wine is known for its full-flavoured style with excellent Shiraz and Cabernet fruit, firm yet well-rounded structure and balanced oak. - Winery ** SOLD OUT **

Winemaker's Notes:

Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet is very much a reflection of the Penfolds winemaking style and philosophy. Sourced from premium vineyards across South Australia, the wine is known for its full-flavoured style with excellent Shiraz and Cabernet fruit, firm yet well-rounded structure and balanced oak. Made as a traditional 'Australian blend', the Shiraz component provides fleshy fruit flavour while Cabernet provides a frame of fine grained tannins.
