Penfolds Bin 28 is a showcase for warm-climateAustralian Shiraz - ripe, robust and generously flavored.First made in 1962, Bin 28 is named after the famous BarossaValley Kalimna vineyard purchased by Penfoldsin 1945 and from which the wine was originally sourced.Today, Bin 28 is a multi-region, multi-vineyard blend,with the Barossa Valley always well represented, providinga substantial proportion of the fruit for this vintage. Palate: The palate is full-bodied, refined and tautshowing dark, black conserve fruit flavorswith Satsuma plum notes to the fore. Furtherliqueur chocolate and spice flavors areimpregnated by overt, chewy and ripe tannins.To sum up, the integrated fruit, oak and acidloudly proclaim harmony and balance. Penfolds- arguably Australia's most famous winery- continues to perform at a high level under the leadership of Head Winemaker- Peter Gago."
