1990 Grange

The nose has a pronounced Grange Signature even at this stage, still very drinkable the wine was clearly old but not fading just ageing gracefully, mid weight on the palate the fruit was dry but still had flavour.
Others voted it the wine of the night and gave it a high score, either way it was a wine experience worth the wait.

Magnificent, exotic, a veritable cascade of opulent flavors--earthy currant, black cherry and licorice--on a grand frame of incredible length, wrapped in finely grained tannins. Opened this 4 or 5 hours before really drinking it. It was exceptional, with near perfect balance, and all sorts of subtle notes... just utterly smooth and complex at the same time.
