Add your reviewThe color of this wine is medium ruby and is crystal clear. The nose is full of blackberry and plum, along with LOTS of barrel. The nose is a full nose and almost requires chewing! The initial flavor is full of body (go figure) and has the blackberry and plum overtones, as well as the barrel (no need for a toothpick). Absolutely no mouth coat. The follow-through is the same as the initial and has no throat feel and goes down easy, we did decant this for a grand total of three minutes, more so to separate out the grape sediment (which the wine was full). This wine pairs well with marinara based pastas or heavy steaks with lighter side dishes.
