RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Velvety and harmonious, with modest currant and plum flavors mingling with mint and pepper as the finish lingers against fine tannins. Drink now through 2012.
Very deep garnet-purple colored, the 2008 Bin 2 Shiraz Mourvedre (12.5% Mourvedre) presents intense black cherry and chocolate scents with some spices plus whiffs of anise and violets. Full-bodied and packed with ripe fruit, it has crisp acidity and medium-firm fine-grained chewy tannins, finishing long. Drink it now to 2017.
On the gamy side, nicely fleshed out, with vibrant cherry and raspberry fruit keeping it lively. Leather notes mark the finish. Good example of the value red blends coming from Down Under these days. Drink now through 2005.
Firm in texture, crisp and focused, offering a lively mouthful of peppery blueberry and cedar flavors that linger nicely on the deft finish. Drink now through 2015.
Smooth and refined, with peppery blackberry and cherry flavors on a velvety frame, echoing softly on the finish. Drink now through 2004.
Full and round with good berry fruit supported by soft spice and hints of licorice and violets. Good mouthfeel and body to the mid-palate and a long, lustrous finish. A nice match with beef, lamb, or veal.
With a broad swath of red fruit tightened around black pepper spice, this feels cool, saturated with flavor until it lightens a bit in the end. Firm overall, this is ready for lamb chops off the grill. Best Buy.
A menacing and impenetrable black core. Classic Bin 28 fruits and maturation complexities. Satsuma conserve and a (very) faint cigar box background (oak or fruit ?). Aromas of a basking Sunday Roast and / or simmering Beef Bourgogne, shadowed by tumeric and dark Calamatta olive. Full-bodied. Assertive, but neither bullying with alcohol nor oak. Dense, great texture & layered - all bases covered. Blueberry Barossa fruits exposed - a la RWT! Christmas Cake mix or trifle? Perhaps the suggestion of brandy / custard favours the latter? The density, texture and depth of this wine is testament to the strength of the vintage.
