- I tasted this wine with my wine group. There was a peppery smell on the nose, in addition to dark cherry. There were the same tastes on the palate, but not a lot of depth or complexity. The wine tastes a bit young, with the two grapes not quite integrated and the tannins a bit sharp. If you drink it now, pair it with red meat that has some tang to it, like when grilled or spiced with some pepper. If you have an instant aerator, use it to open up the wine. The better choice, I think, would be to put it in the cellar for 1-2 years.
