Ripe and open-textured, rife with cherry, currant and blueberry jam flavors, subtly shaded with spicy, slightly smoky overtones that linger along with the fruit on a very persistent finish. A hint of melted wax is intriguing as well. Best from 2005 through 2015.
Big, rich and vibrant, a spectacular mouthful of cherry, currant and a subtle range of peppers and spices and creaminess, finishing with refined tannins and a silky texture that lets the fruit and spice sail on and on. Best from 2009 through 2018.
Rich in character and aristocratic in structure, a noble red that wears its subtle cherry, blackberry, chocolate, pepper and sweet spice flavors on a polished frame like a bespoke suit, letting them all play out elegantly on the well-buffed finish. Drink now through 2015.
Lively, generous and refined, with a silky texture and a lovely burst of blackberry, cherry and floral character that zings right through the juicy finish. Drink now through 2010. 375 cases imported. -HS Wine Spectator. A Syrah wine from South Australia in Australia. 2002 Penfolds Shiraz Magill Estate 750ml
Bright, spicy and vibrant, jazzy with blackberry, cherry and spice flavors, with hints of coffee and anise lingering on the extended finish. The rich flavors are balanced with snappy acidity. Has the intensity to age. Best from 2002 through 2010.
Deep ruby. Ripe, fresh aromas of sweet cherry, blackcurrant and chocolate, accented by gentle, sexy (French) oak spice. Remarkably supple and elegant on the palate, with juicy, vibrant redcurrant and raspberry flavors, supported and enhanced by cinnamon, mace and candied violet. This has weight, structure and depth but itandrsquo;s also balanced, precise and suave, finishing on a bright, silky note, with polished, ripe tannins.
Muted aromas, but itandrsquo;s generous and jazzy in the mouth, lively with blackberry, cherry and white pepper flavors, remaining zingy through the long, harmonious finish. Hints at white chocolate as the flavors linger. Tannins are firm, but fine. Drink now through 2020.
A distinctly Barossa nose of dark chocolate, blueberry and a hint of liquorice.
Mouthfilling and expansive on the palate, the wine is bigger and richer than
the cues afforded by the nose, and undeniably assertive and defined. A
generously flavoured RWT with dark berried fruits and spice courted by
pronounced ripe tannins, culminating in an impressive lingering finish.
Layered, long and luscious with excellent ageing potential. Drink
2006-2020.
