Bright, spicy and vibrant, jazzy with blackberry, cherry and spice flavors, with hints of coffee and anise lingering on the extended finish. The rich flavors are balanced with snappy acidity. Has the intensity to age. Best from 2002 through 2010.
Deep ruby. Ripe, fresh aromas of sweet cherry, blackcurrant and chocolate, accented by gentle, sexy (French) oak spice. Remarkably supple and elegant on the palate, with juicy, vibrant redcurrant and raspberry flavors, supported and enhanced by cinnamon, mace and candied violet. This has weight, structure and depth but itandrsquo;s also balanced, precise and suave, finishing on a bright, silky note, with polished, ripe tannins.
Muted aromas, but itandrsquo;s generous and jazzy in the mouth, lively with blackberry, cherry and white pepper flavors, remaining zingy through the long, harmonious finish. Hints at white chocolate as the flavors linger. Tannins are firm, but fine. Drink now through 2020.
