What to Expect

Cabenet Sauvignon: Originally of French origins, this versatile grape produces exceptional wines around the globe. It's usually medium to full bodied with a fine structure that supports black and red fruit flavors with typical notes of olive, chili and herbs that add complexity.

Winemakers Notes

Our Cabernet Sauvignon, from hand-harvested grapes grown in the Horse Heaven Hills and the Columbia Valley, blends the Weinbeau (35%), Dionysus (12%), Berghan (4%) and O'Brien Vineyards (4%). Careful fermenting and aging in small French and American oak barrels for 20 months creates a rich wine with layered complexity and supple tannins. Try this wine with red meats and aged cheeses.

Vintage:
This vintage introduces the fruit from new contracts with Sagemoor Farms. We selected the Dionysus and Weinbeau vinyards to blend with the lush berry flavors that come from the Coyote Canyon vineyards. Due to moderate temperatures during the summer and fall, the wines maintained integrity from the vineyard to the bottle making this a wine that impresses while young, but will age nicely.
Vineyards:
43% Coyote Canyon, 34% Weinbeau Vineyard (#3,#10), 13% Dionysus Vineyard, 8% Merlot (Berghan and Wells)
