Pemberley Pinot Noir 2009

Grown on one of the oldest vineyards in the cool climate wine region of Pemberton, this elegant Pinot Noir exhibits expressive fruit flavours. The grapes for this Pinot Noir were grown on deep red Karri loams to express fine flavours. The grapes were harvested at optimal maturity. Winemaking was conducted in small, open fermenters through pre-ferment cold-soaking followed by a long fermentation process. The wine was pressed directly into both new and seasoned French Oak for a 9 month maturation period. This Pinot Noir has been crafted to be enjoyed as a youthful wine. The aroma of the wine displays ripe strawberries, hints of cloves, and is enhanced by fine oak characters. The palate is soft and elegant with ripe fruity characters and fine grained tannins. This Pinot Noir is designed to be enjoyed over the next 2 years to fully appreciate all its vibrant flavours, soft tannins and drinkability.
