Pellegrini Chardonnay Russian River Valley Olivet Lane Estate (2006)

Our Chardonnay arrives in the winery moments after being hand picked into half-ton bins. It passes through a sorting station, insuring that only perfect clusters are crushed or loaded into our eight-ton bladder presses. This juice is then cold-settled before being transferred to barrels for fermentation. Aging: The wine was aged for 10 months in French oak. During the early months each barrel was routinely stirred, allowing for yeast autolysis, which helps develop a rich creamy texture in the wine.
