Dusty, cedary nose. Cherry preserves, cocoa powder and red currant jam aromas. Some savory charcuterie notes appear as well. Acid is a touch stringent on the palate. Dusty, fine grained tannins. Flavors of dried cherries and cocoa powder with hints of dried thyme. A thick, savory quality to it especially on the finish. Salty, cured meat suggestions. Turning a bit tertiary (drinking half bottle). Kirsch and cocoa dominant. Bone dry finish. 87 pts.
