Peirano Petite Syrah 2012
External Review by The Wine Buyer:
The senses are tempted by an array of black raspberry, spice, coffee, cocoa, cola and white pepper in the Peirano Estate Petite Sirah. The palate is filled with ripe boysenberry, black raspberry, plum and sweet black cherry and firm tannins, with a hint of smoke and dark chocolate. Enjoy this wine along with a nice grilled steak, baked potato with all the fixings, and good friends. This is a wine that can please now, as well as age out for many years to come.
Add winemaker's notes
Nestled between the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Lodi has an ideal Mediterranean climate with deep, rich, sandy-loam soils and abundant quality water. Lance Randolph, fourth generation Peirano, winemaker, and grower uses the best of Giacomo Peirano’s, Lance’s great grandfather, farming methods and implements new techniques to create the best of “Old World Meets New World” viticulture practices.
