Pedroncelli Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley Mother Clone 2003
At Pedroncelli, our Zinfandel style is to showcase the unique characteristics of Dry Creek Valley. Our grapes are hand-picked with scrupulous attention paid to harvesting and to the gentle handling they receive at the winery. The grapes were harvested the first three weeks in September at an average of 24.5 Brix and lots are fermented separately in stainless steel tanks. The cellar crew does three pumpovers per day—this process adds softness and extracts color and flavor from the skins. Following fermentation, the wine is aged in American oak barrels for 15 months.
