I've had similar bottles at twice the price. This is a prototypical petite sirah with some acid and bite. The cabernet franc really shines in the nose as all I smell are Jalapeno Corn Nuts.

Funky Barnyard notes over Dark Fruits in the nose, this Petite is also a big burly example with oaky pencil lead -- emphasis on the lead -- obscuring the fruit beneath, finishing very pithy.

Winemaker's Notes:

Opaque purple in the glass. The wine is rich with ripe blackberry, black pepper and chocolate aromas. It contains very deep and complex flavors with a lasting finish braced by smooth tannins. It has the structure to age well over many years. Decant if desired.
