Peconic Bay Winery Local Flavor Red(NV)

Winemaker Tasting Notes: A soft, full-bodied blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. A cool fermentation with limited skin contact yielded a wine with forward fruit, soft tannins and balance. The bright berry flavor of the Cabernet Sauvignon is well complemented by the soft richness of the Merlot. Peconic Bay wines are the product of the soil and mild climate of the North Fork of Long Island, benefiting from the most days of sunshine and the longest growing season in New York State. » Return to Peconic Bay Wine List

A mingling of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot -a blend known in Bordeaux as Meritage- this red lends itself to a wide variety of local produce, meats and fish. Light, crisp and fruity. This easy drinking wine is a perfect complement to a barbeque on a hot summer day.
