Peconic Bay La Barrique Chardonnay(2005)

Winemaker Tasting Notes: This wine possesses a complex fruit-sweet bouquet and a soft-textured mouthfeel. The nose exhibits pear, vanilla and spice. It is reminiscent of a freshly baked apple pie. The palate has a velvety richness that shows a fine balance between fruit, acid and French oak. The finish softly fades away. Food Pairing Notes: I would recommend pairing this wine with grilled chicken or rich seafood such as Crab, Scallops, Lobster or Wild Salmon. Creamy sauces that employ seasonings such as apple, lemon, garlic, dill, basil and ginger compliment this wine well. Peconic Bay wines read more...
