Tasted at UNLVino 4/10/10
Jammy, grapey, and also a bit earthy. I taste some licorice mid palate. Comes on strong at first then finishes light. Not bad. I seem to be stuck in the 2.5-3.0 range lately. Maybe I have to start shelling out more money.
Plummy licorice, fennel , herb nose, dry with good tannins
Very nice everyday wine

An elegant style, smooth and spicy, with a pretty core of plum and black cherry flavors spiced with a minty edge.
Medium to light body with a ruby color. Strawberry, black pepper and oak in the nose. The attack is pretty sharp, then the wine evolves to be smooth and balanced.
Rugged and robust, with flavors of grilled blackberries, plums and a meaty taste, like stir-fried ground beef splashed with soy sauce and dusted with black pepper.
It's a little hot, but there are some nice featured to this Zin. It has an interesting range of flavors, from sage and blackberries to chocolate and raisins, and is very dry, with sturdy tannins. Plus, the price ain't bad.
Balanced and dry, here's a Zin you can have with elegant food. It's dry, and the alcohol is below 14%. The berry and spice flavors are juicy. Good value in a Zin.
