The 2010 Albarino was aged in small stainless steel vats sur lie with batonnage for 4 months. Jasmine, mineral, lemon zest, and other citrus notes inform the nose of this multi-dimensional, already complex white. On the palate tropical flavors emerge... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. Strohgelbe Farbe. In der Nase Aroma nach Zitrusfrucht und Pfirsich. Am Gaumen florale und tropische Nuancen mit schöner Säure und einem fruchtig, erfrischendem Abgang.

Winemaker's Notes:

Pazo Señorans is made with 100% Albariño grapes that grow on 35-year old vines in 20 acres of lovingly cared vineyards that receive the sea breeze from the Atlantic Ocean. Upon arrival at the winery, grapes are destemmed and crushed in a pneumatic press where they undergo a quick decantation and short maceration. Fermentation takes place in medium-sized, double-jacket stainless steel tanks at a constant temperature of 18ºC.

Tasting Notes:

Some leesy and nutty hints hide among the wine's bright fruit flavors: peach, yellow apple, and dried tropical fruits. The lees contact pushes those yellow apples into riper red apple flavors, along with a toasted almond note. This is a very interesting version of a grape many people wouldn't necessarily recognize in this guise.
