Paulo Laureano Vinho Regional Alentejano Singularis 2004

Member Review by tommyvino:

A blend of 80% Aragonês (aka Tempranillo) and 20% Trincadeira produced by Paulo Laureano who was the Portuguese wine maker of the year back in 2004. The color is a dark inky purple red with strong aromas of tobacco, cocoa covered blueberries, blackberries, and black cherry. The wine is dry, medium bodied, with lively acidity, medium astringent tannins, and a long finish. The palate is very flavorful with baking spice, black plum and blackberry jam coating the taste buds. I recommend decanting this wine 1 to 2 hours to fully unlock all the flavors. Lots of layers to enjoy here. 4/5
