Food Pairings for Paul Mas Viognier
Some of you should listen. Here is a Viognier from a reputable (and long established) producer who respects his Occitan roots but adds some New World verve. Love the ginger, allspice and gooseberry nose and round, smooth entry; there is some mild angostura-type bitterness on the finish, but it does not detract at this price point. As usual, great value. 87 points.
I have enjoyed the quality wines of Domaines Paul Mas for several years and the Viognier has never disappointed: with an over-the-top nose of treacle, honey and ginger sprinkled with generic domestic flowers, this lovely light lemon colored wine is a summer treat with spicey honey-peach flavors and a smooth finish - unlike some South American competitors. A steal.
