A bit of mealy apple on the nose along with dried lemon zest and some nice almost lilac floral tones. Very smooth in the mouth and frankly soft, this is rich and mouth-filling but does lack any sense of definition. Some nice flavors of apple, orange and fennel fronds float around on the palate before disappearing on the short, slight fennel flavored finish. 80pts

Fruity nose with lots going on in the palate! Classic stone fruits and honeydew melon, citrus zest and is that sesame I taste? A great sipper that would pair with sweet and tangy foods.

One of my favorites that we carry. It opens with delicious dark fruit flavors with a hint of licorice, and has supple tannins. The finish is lingering with a touch of spice. This wine would complement a variety of dishes from barbecued ribs to grilled vegetables. I recommend enjoying it with a homemade pizza topped with grilled chicken, caramelized onions and mushrooms.

Fresh, with a supple core of black cherry and plum fruit backed by hints of anise and tobacco. Drink now.

Winemaker's Notes:

The southern Rhône Valley was blessed by the heavens in 2010. Spring was normal and summer was warm and dry - but not excessively so - which permitted the grapes to mature in the most optimal conditions. The wines are rich and dense; fresh with grains of tannins of great distinction. A vintage which married the wealth of the sun with the elegance of balance. Wines of a grand grade!
